Discovering Philadelphia: Thanksgiving

We love Thanksgiving on the East Coast! And what place to celebrate this American holiday than in the City of Brotherly love. Below are our top three recommendations for Thanksgiving Thursday!

1. The 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade

The biggest Thanksgiving event in the city is the parade and this year marks the 100th Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia! It begins at 8:15 on Thanksgiving morning. This year looks like sunny weather in Philly, but if you want to stay warm on your couch you can tune in to 6ABC to catch the parade on cable.

2. Dinner at City Tavern

If you don’t have a family dinner to attend, it doesn’t mean you have to skip an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. Make a reservation at City Tavern for a four-course meal.

3. Kick-off Christmas at the Christmas Village

We love the Christmas Village in Center City. And it’s open NOW! Start your holiday shopping with local vendors or meet Santa on Saturday, November 30th.
