eLearning. What is it? The "e" in eLearning stands for electronic. Simply put, eLearning is learning that is conducted via electronic media, such as the internet. So maybe you've done a training on a computer, with slides, videos and questions... those would be eLearning!
So why use eLearning for your employees? A quick powerpoint you put together might not be the most effective way to teach your employees a new process or procedure. But eLearning can be very engaging and effective when designed and created properly. It can also make better use of time in a busy work environment, you can have your employees take the eLearning course in shifts and you won't have to shut down for a day for a training class with an instructor.
